Introduction

The Kvapil-elektro company was founded in 1991.

In 2004 the company was converted into the Josef KVAPIL a.s. join-stock company.

We run a wholesale programme and two retail stores.

We establish correct relationships with our employees, trading partners, as well as with the state administration.

2014

  • The sales of the company were growing repeatably.
  • The company was showing a stable performance.
  • We initiated cooperation with an architectural studio for a development of project documents for a new building of the company.

2013

  • We gained a hard experience as our chairman of the board was accused by the Police of the Czech Republic – more information available here.
  • We also gained a positive and encouraging life experience of the confidence of our whole team and of almost all of our business partners – we would like to thank all of them for their support.
  • Strengthening of our positions and growth of sales in foreign markets.
  • We began selling products and services of LAMA mobile, a new alternative operator.

2012

  • Our sales were growing, especially in foreign markets.
  • The educational project continued, it was successfuly completed in autumn.
  • We became the sole distributor of EMA (electronic microalarm) product for the Czech Republic.
  • We initiated a new project called SMAR – a care program for the company’s clients.
  • We opened a new partner T-mobile store in Zábřeh (Czech Republic).

2011

  • We have achieved more commercial success especially in foreign markets.
  • We participated in international trade fairs in Hannover(CeBIT), Berlin (IFA) and Dubai (GITEX).
  • We moved to new business premises in Olomouc area.
  • We started a training project, which aims to increase language and professional skills of all employees.
  • We run a number of B2C e-shops.

2010

  • As the only distributor in Czech Republic  we were executing the pilot project „distribution of Vodafone services“  for the company Vodafone
  • Sale of business activities of subsidiary company Kvapil s.r.o. in Slovakia
  • Closure of retail shop Olomouc, Dolní náměstí

2009

  • Modernization of the logo and the design of the company manual
  • Implementation of a new information systém I6
  • Development of the B2C platform
  • Increase in the volume of import and export of mobile phones
  • Exclusive distributor of  digital ALBUM for European Union

2008

  • Exporting of mobile phones was initiated
  • Exclusive distributor of digital ALBUM for Czech Republic
  • The company works as a distributor of wireless communication of GSM network T-Mobile and won the title the DEALER of the year 2008
  • The company works as a distributor of wireless communication of GSM network Telefónica O2 and won the 1st position in the category „Distributor“

2007

  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. acquires the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2007“ as the distributor of the T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications
  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. wins the 1st place in the cathegory „Distributor“ as the distributor of the Telefonica O2 network GSM mobile communications

2006

  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. receives the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2006“ as the dealer of T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications 2006″
  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. wins the 1st place in the cathegory „Distributor“ as the distributor of the Telefonica O2 network GSM mobile communications

2005

  • the sale of the MaxiMobil table mobil phone starts – post of the exclusive distributor for the Czech Republic
  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2005“ as the distributor o the T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications

2004

  • introduction of the new information system called VENTUS on 1st January 2004
  • transformation of the company into Josef KVAPIL a.s. on 5th January 2004
  • Josef KVAPIL a.s. wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2004“ as the distributor of T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications

2003

  • beginning of the cooperation on partner projects (ARALKONTO)
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2003“ as the distributor of T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications
  • preparation for the introduction of a new information systém that would provide a higher utility value to both internal and external customers
  • preparation of the company´s transformation into Josef KVAPIL a.s., joint-stock company

2002

  • the Kvapil-Elektro company was trasformed into a wholesale trade with an assortment of coupons, mobile communications and accessories (the assortment of consumer electronics was liquidated), the network of stores was slimmed down to two stores in Olomouc (Rožňavská 12 and Dolní náměstí 42). The company was slimmed down from 120 to 42 employees. Furthermore, we focus primarily on the development of mobile communications and related applications
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2002“ as the distributor of T-Mobile network GSM mobile communications
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of „The best dealer of Eurotel Praha, spol. s.r.o., Ltd.“ as the distributor of EuroTel network GSM mobile communications – 7th place

2001

  • the MobilCentrum sales network merges 20 stores of GSM mobile communications
  • the opening of Kvapil-Elektro stores in the Hypernova supermarkets in Jihlava, Kunovice, Vsetín, Přerov and Chrudim
  • Kvapil-Elektro runs 12 stores of its own
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2001“ as the distributor of Paegas network GSM mobile communications
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of „The best dealer of Eurotel Praha, spol. s.r.o., Ltd.“ as the distributor of EuroTel network GSM mobile communications – 9th place

2000

  • the beginning of establishing a sales network of GSM mobile communications called MobilCentrum
  • the opening of Kvapil-Elektro stores in the OD PRIOR department store in Olomouc and in Kroměříž, Přerov and Hodonín
  • renovation and considerable widening of the Dolní náměstí store in Olomouc
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 2000“ as the distributor of Paegas network GSM mobile communications
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of „The best dealer of Eurotel Praha, spol. s.r.o., Ltd.“ as the distributor of EuroTel network GSM mobile communications – 7th place

1999

  • the importance of the wholesale distribution of both Eurotel and Paegas GSM mobile communications exceeded the boundaries of the region and required the reorganization of the company
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 1999“ as the distributor of Paegas network GSM mobile communications

1998

  • the opening of the Kvapil-Elektro store in the TERNO supermarket in Olomouc
  • the sale of EuroTel network GSM mobile communications begins
  • Kvapil-Elektro wins the title of the „DEALER OF THE YEAR 1998“ as the distributor of Paegas network GSM mobile communications

1997

  • the sale of Paegas network GSM mobile communications begins

1996

  • the purchase of a house on Dolní náměstí square, No. 42, renovation of sale rooms and establishment of the new company´s seat
  • the opening of the second Kvapil-Elektro store focused on TV-AUDIO-VIDEO-SHELF SYSTEMS on Dolní náměstí square 42, Olomouc

1994

  • a wholesale warehouse with consumer electronics is opened in Neředínská Street 29, Olomouc

1993

  • the beginning of wholesale distribution of consumer electronics
  • the sale of electronic safeguarding systems begins

1992

  • the first Kvapil-Elektro store focused on electronic components and consumer electronics is opened in Rožňavská Street 12, Olomouc (the original seat of the company)
